GRUBER LOGISTICS CORRE VELOCE CON LA TECNOLOGIA INKJET EPSON

GRUBER LOGISTICS RUN FAST WITH EPSON INKJET TECHNOLOGY

THE WORLD OF TRANSPORT CHOOSES QUALITY AND COST SAVINGS

In the world of shipping and logistics, not only goods move, but also transport documents, indispensable travel companions: to print these certifications, Gruber chose Epson technology for sustainability and high performance. The models of the WorkForce family are testimony to this.

PROMOTING ETHICAL VALUES AND A BUSINESS BASED ON INNOVATION: THIS IS THE CORPORATE PHILOSOPHY OF GRUBER LOGISTICS

Gruber Logistics is a logistics and transport company founded in 1936 in Bolzano when Joseph Gruber founded the company “Gruber Giuseppe Transport and international shipping” to transport loads of timber from the South Tyrolean mountains to the valley. Over time, the company grows and expands its range of services, ranging from exceptional loads to air and sea transport to warehouse logistics. In the 2000s, the business expanded on a European scale: the company increasingly consolidated its strategic presence and also became operational in the industrial removals sector, but the turning point was 2010 when it became a multinational company with offices located in Worldwide. Strengthened by international know-how, today the South Tyrolean company covers the most important market sectors, from the paper, construction, oil & gas industries to the metallurgical, aerospace and automotive industries.

With over 80 years of experience and a fleet of approximately 1,000 vehicles, Gruber Logistics is committed to ensuring efficient transport and is ready to embrace new challenges, continuing to pursue the mission that has always distinguished it: studying solutions that simplify the lives of its customers.

SUSTAINABILITY IS THE KEY CONCEPT THAT UNITES THE COMPANY WITH EPSON

The attention in adopting ethical and responsible choices concerns the entire work of Gruber Logistics, therefore not only the transport activity with the reduction of environmental impact, but also operations within the offices through responsible use of resources and materials, such as the printer fleet. Yes, because at Gruber there is a lot of printing: “Our world – explains Andrea Condotta, Public Affairs & Innovation Manager of Gruber Logistics – has by necessity the obligation to print the classic transport documents, but not only: with the work of office, numerous documents are generated which also require to be printed and distributed in paper form". For the company, the need to have an efficient printer fleet is not only dictated by productivity reasons, but also by sustainable ones with a reduction in costs, energy savings and ease of use; so, at the end of an evaluation that analyzed multiple factors, the choice fell on the Epson models.

“Gruber Logistics – explains Roberto Bisello, consulting partner of Gruber Logistics and CEO of Cash srl – immediately showed itself to be interested in an eco-responsible product, attentive to the environment and people; consequently it opted for WorkForce Epson printers which do not produce ozone and fine dust and with this solution, in the next 5 years the company will save 10,000 kg of CO2 and 31,000 kW of electricity, saving as much as 5,000 Euros".

Andrea Condotta continues: “For Gruber, one of the key elements in choosing one printer over another is sustainability, an aspect that makes the difference for two reasons: safety at work and energy saving. In particular, we have noticed that an Epson printer guarantees energy savings of around 95% compared to competitors. And in all this there is a notable reduction in terms of environmental impact, as well as an indirect economic impact."

Therefore today at Gruber, employees can benefit from a reliable, high-performance infrastructure with reduced costs: the amount of documents to print is in fact no longer a concern because these printers allow for high performance. Furthermore, their inkjet technology ensures, compared to laser technology, a healthier environment as no harmful substances are released into the environment. But the advantages also concern the copy cost contract which proved to be the best choice. “This type of contract – points out Roberto Bisello – allows you to delegate/entrust all the collateral services to your supplier, such as technical assistance, remote management of the fleet of machines, the optimized and punctual supply of consumables and load reduction. of work for our staff, who only have to worry about changing the card". With these characteristics, Epson printers have found everyone in agreement, from the logistics and transport department to the offices, from the departmental ones to the warehouse.

SPEED IS NOT ONLY IN SHIPPING, BUT ALSO IN PRINTING WITH WORKFORCE MODELS

In detail, the South Tyrolean company today has a large fleet of printers with multiple models capable of satisfying the work needs of the different departments. “Gruber Logistics – continues Renato Bisello – has installed 80 printers in the Italian branches and 50 in the European ones. The models are the WorkForce Enterprise placed in departmental offices and open spaces, the WorkForce Pro WF-C869R positioned in the commercial and operational departments, the WorkForce WF-C579R color multifunctions in management offices and the monochrome WorkForce WF-M5799 and WF-M5299 in warehouses and logistics departments".

The common denominator is cost savings, as well as high printing speed and quality. Gruber immediately noticed notable benefits, not only with the WorkForce Enterprise which allow you to print in large volumes and ensure reliable results for continuous printing, but also with the Workforce Pro RIPS models which require little maintenance from the user and, thanks to high-yield ink pouches, allow you to print up to 84,000 pages before having to change the ink. WorkForce Pro WF-C869R is ideal for dynamic environments and in Gruber it has found its perfect location in commercial and operational departments, where document printing is very frequent and consequently employees need machines with very low downtime. In the management offices, however, the winning choice was the WorkForce WF-C579R color multifunction printer with its high ink yield which means less waste of consumables and peace of mind due to the lack of toner dust and ozone emissions. Finally, completing the printer fleet are the two WorkForce WF-M5799 and WF-M5299 models which, in addition to ensuring reduced energy consumption, low management costs and a fast First Page Out Time (FPOT), are ideal for warehouses and in Gruber logistics departments where a robust black and white printing solution is required.
